"Keep Comin' Back"

My journey of resilience
Fifteen years ago, at age 52, I checked myself into the hospital to sober up. I tried to go straight to an alcohol recovery center, but no place could detox me safely, so I was told I needed to go to the ER. They put me in a medically induced coma in hopes that they could save me through detox. That was a Sunday, October 30th, 2011; 5 days later, I woke up. I had no idea where or what was going on, but I knew there was a higher power that woke me up.

From challenges to new beginnings
In 2017, I was having 65% of my right lung removed due to cancer. The doctor had to really dig to get it out and tore my nerves all up. I filed and was put on permanent disability. Never in my wildest dreams did I plan to retire. In 2022, after the COVID pandemic, I decided to try taking some college classes online. This decision would change my life forever in the next four years.

Sharing for a happier life
Now, at 67, with a B.S. in Psychology, my goal is to share my stories to help others finally be happy with life. "Keep Comin' Back," we'll talk. I hope my personal story inspires you to believe in your own power to overcome and find lasting happiness. Let's create a space for open conversation and mutual support.
"The honesty and courage shared on Keep Comin' Back are truly inspiring. It's a reminder that no matter what, we can always find our way to happiness."
