Reconnecting in Faith

I want to begin by acknowledging that my understanding of faith and my relationship with God may differ from yours, and that’s perfectly okay. You follow your path, and I’ll follow mine. If anyone has questions, I’m more than happy to share my insights. My journey began with my introduction to Jesus as a young girl. While we weren’t regular churchgoers, I found myself praying and believing in God during various moments in my life—something I’m sure many of you can relate to. (chuckles) Often, I was seeking solace during challenging times when I wasn’t sure how I would carry on. Yet, here I am today, supported by a higher power that I’ve always felt, even when I didn’t fully understand it.

I recently dedicated four years to studying Psychology and Religion. When I discovered that my college was a Christian university, I wasn’t concerned; I didn’t realize there was a distinction. Growing up, I was aware of Catholic schools, but that was about it (at least in my hometown). I think there were other options, but I had my own distractions. Not that I didn’t care... haha, you know how it goes. One of my first classes was an Adult Studies course focused on the Bible. Yes, I owned one, but I had never truly taken the time to read it. I won’t delve into all the details, but those classes transformed my life. They provided answers to countless questions I had pondered throughout my life. They helped me navigate some incredibly tough times. The professors, classmates, and counselors at Colorado Christian University taught me more about myself than I ever knew was possible. I will always be grateful to God and the wonderful community at that institution.

As I continue to share my faith, I plan to do so through my personal stories. I hope they resonate with you and inspire you to learn more. I welcome any discussions, so feel free to reach out. "Keep Comin' Back!" He does!
